Well, with the new year we are hoping for a couple of litters. We have downsized our rabbits and plan on breeding mainly red and broken red rabbits.

Stinkers! Dont rabbits know they are supposed to breed like rabbits and have many baby bunnies. Well apparently mine dont. Silly rabbits.

We will try again in September. I dont breed during the summer months. So keep an eye out after summer. Keeping my fingers crossed that they decide to breed like rabbits and give us many baby buns.

Our bunnies are starting to get ready for their babies. Two of our Does dont seem to care at the moment about their nest boxes. All are due to kindle on April 26, 2011 and thats tomarrow.

Arica has already made her nest. This will be her second litter. Im really excited to see what she will be having. She is bred to our Tri Buck - Tri B.

The reason I bred Tri B and Arica is because you can only really breed Red to Red or Red to Broken Red, or Red to Tri Colored. So that is the reason. I really cant wait to see what we get though. Im hoping for Tri Colored, Reds, and Harlequins. Im really excited for this pairing, been waiting a while for this one.

The reason I bred these two is I wanted solid and broken otters. Hopefully I will get more broken otters than solid, but we will see. Really looking forward to seeing Kemo's offspring. He's a beautiful bunny with an amazing coat.

Mini Mint (REW Doe)

When I first bred Mini Mint, I had bred her to Kemo, but it didnt take. So the second time, I decided that I would go a head and breed her to Neo. If we get all broken kits then Mini Mint is a Broken underneath her REW. If we get solid and broken then she is probably solid. This is more a test breeding to try and figure out what Mini Mint is underneath her awesomeness. I honestly love the red eyes and white coat. and she has the most amazing fur.

Mango is so sweet! He was one of my favorites in the litter. He loves attention and you can pet him all day. He loves to play and exploring too. I wish we needed a booted red bun but we dont.

I have decided to spotlight my rabbits. I will randomly choose a rabbit to spotlight on my blog.

When we first got Kemo he had been in a cage with his brother and he was missing lots of fur on his back, Poor guy looked like he had been through Chemotherapy. Hence the name Kemo.

Baby buns are growing! Took these pictures a few days ago. These baby buns are 32 days old in the pictures. I found that I really like the red colored bunnies.

Our first litter has been really fun. We will be sad to see them go. These little guys will be ready on Valentines Day. Fitting for little red bunnies, I think.

Our new Doe that we got from Lorri Lynn of A & L Rabbitry is expecting. We had her bred to Lynn's Zeb before we got her, so that the babies would not be related to our new buck. Hopefully she will have a girl or two that we will keep for showing and breeding. We are looking forward to our first Mini Rex litter.

Our new litter will be born on Dec 31, 2010.

Welcome to Epic Fables Rabbitry. My name is Darlene and we are excited to be adding some new Mini Rex's and New Zealands to our Rabbitry thanks to Lorri Lynn of A&L Rabbitry in AZ (Mini Rex) and Trish Martineau (New Zealands). We are excited to start this new adventure. We will hopefully be attending some shows in the future with a Mini Rex or two, and hopefully enjoy the fun sport of Rabbit Hopping!
